Year 6-7 Transition

Parent/Carer Correspondence

Pupil Correspondence

At The County High School, Leftwich we understand the importance of a seamless transition from primary to secondary school. We value our well-established links with primary schools and work together to ensure that pupils who join our school in Year 7 are fully prepared and supported throughout the process.

Our transition programme begins in Year 5 for pupils who will progress to The County High School, Leftwich. This increasingly popular programme offers classes that are designed for pupils of all abilities, facilitated by specialist staff, using a range of exciting and innovative equipment and resources.

Due to Covid-19 we have had to change our transition programme for Year 6. We want to assure you that we will do our utmost to ensure this transition is a smooth one for your child. We will liaise closely with the Primary Schools to ensure we have all the information required to make sure their time at The County High School, Leftwich is a happy and fulfilling one. Our SENDCo, Miss Ashford, will work closely with the Primary Schools and relevant families to ensure that all reasonable adjustments are made for those students with special educational needs, thus providing all students with every opportunity to be successful during the transition phase and beyond.
