Key Stage 2-3 Transition

At The County High School, Leftwich we understand the importance of a seamless transition from primary to secondary school. We value our well-established links with primary schools and work together to ensure that pupils who join our school in Year 7 are fully prepared and supported throughout the process.

Our transition programme begins in Year 5 for pupils who will progress to The County High School, Leftwich. This increasingly popular programme offers classes that are designed for pupils of all abilities, facilitated by specialist staff, using a range of exciting and innovative equipment and resources.

In Year 6, the transition programme continues with a series of planned events (outlined below), working in partnership with primary schools and parents/carers. If students are in need of additional transition arrangements, we work with Special Educational Needs/Disabilities Co-Ordinators (SENDCos) and families to ensure that appropriate support in in place.
